Fanfare on The Strife Is O'er
Fanfare on The Strife Is O'er
Brass quintet, percussion (timpani/cymbals), organ
The Strife is O'er, the Battle Done is a Christian hymn that is traditionally sung at Easter to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus. It was originally a 17th-century Latin hymn, "Finita iam sunt proelia"; the popular English-language version is an 1861 translation by the English hymn writer Francis Pott.
We made the best page turns possible in our 16 page organ score, but also provide a separate organ part you can play from, if that works better. You will likely need professional musicians, as the range gets a bit high for student players in the closing fanfare.
