Trumpet

How to Clean Your Trumpet at Home – euphonium, baritone, tuba and horn players might want to read this useful guide too!

David Summer has posted several useful articles regarding recording brass and other instruments, creating audio CAPTCHAs, broadcasting podcasts, etc.

The International Trumpet Guild publishes news, a calendar, employment openings, links, the ITG journal, and loads of other invaluable information for trumpet players.

O.J's Trumpet Page offers a wealth of information, leaning towards trumpet but with plenty for the other brass as well. His links page provides a comprehensive list of resources.

Horn

The International Horn Society is "dedicated to performance, teaching, composition, research, and the preservation and promotion of the horn as a musical instrument." Their official journal, The Horn Call, publishes articles online of interest to horn players. The Orchestral Horn Excerpts page is an invaluable collection of horn excerpts presented as they appear in the original parts and performed in context by various orchestras.

FhornPatrick on YouTube hasn't posted lately, but his channel features entertaining videos with lots of educational content.

Trombone

Will Kimball's site features a wealth of information about alto trombone, and an amazing trombone history project.

The Online Trombone Journal features articles, reviews, classified ads, and the Trombone-L archive (an email mailing list devoted to the trombone).

Brian Kay's BrassStages.com is a resource for trombone and brass students of all ages, private teachers, and band directors.

Former Boston Symphony Bass Trombonist Doug Yeo's website includes many pages of information, articles and resources for trombonists and other musicians.

New York Philharmonic Principal Trombonist Joseph Alessi's website has lots of stuff to peruse through, including a free "Bolero practice tool" (an mp3 file of the Bolero background music under the trombone solo).

The Trombone Page of the World is Rene Laanen's amazing list of every trombone player he could find.

Tuba/Euphonium

Visit Adam Frey's site for a euphonium forum, blog, music catalog, and news about Adam.

David Werden's Website is a valuable resource for tuba and euphonium/baritone players, with a forum, blog, tuba/euph store, and euphonium music guide, plus helpful advice and examples on taking military band auditions.

Sean Chisham's Tubenet is now very out of date (and unencrypted), but it still shows a great page of famous tuba player photos, and an invaluable set of Arnold Jacobs master class recordings.

Miscellaneous

The Historic Brass Society is an international music organization concerned with the history, music, literature and performance practice of early brass instruments, from Ancient Antiquity and the Biblical period through to the present.

The "Six Notes" exercise may be one of the most important brass playing exercises there is. Sam Burtis' article Letters from New York, Carmine Caruso and the Six Notes is a good overall description of the exercise.

Wind Song Press came online in 1997 and is a premiere source of information on the teaching methods of Arnold Jacobs, and breathing devices developed by him, with articles, biographies, audio and video files, and transcripts of master classes.
