Brad Howland retired as Principal Trombonist of the Victoria Symphony in 2024, a position he held for 35 years. He keeps busy in retirement composing, teaching privately, and playing with groups such as the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra and Victoria's Festive Brass, often on bass trombone.
